fakemink

fakemink is the alias of Essex-born rapper and producer Vincenzo Camille, a genre-fluid shapeshifter redefining the underground UK rap landscape. Blurring the lines between cloud rap, jerk, boom bap, and experimental club, his sound feels like a lucid dream filtered through blown-out speakers—hazy, emotional, and deliberately off-centre. Since emerging with a flood of self-released tracks under the former name 9090gate, fakemink has built a cult following through sheer volume and vibe. His 2023 debut album, London’s Saviour, released via his DIY label EtnaVeraVela, introduced a world of warped beats, vaporous melodies, and confessional lyricism — part late-night journal entry, part digital séance. Mysterious yet unmistakable, fakemink creates from the margins. His music rejects polish in favour of presence: distorted loops, deadpan delivery, and flashes of raw beauty that feel at once throwaway and essential. 2024 saw a breakthrough with the viral single “MAKKA”, a dreamlike collaboration with Ecco2k and Mechatok, followed by a surprise guest appearance with Drake at Wireless Festival in 2025—a moment that cemented his ascent from cult oddity to underground icon. In 2025, he debuted at number 15 on the UK's Official Top 20 British Asian Music chart with "Snow White".
