Everyone Orchestra

Everyone Orchestra, a US musical group led by musician and multi-instrumentalist Matt Butler, was conceived in 1999 after Butler's extensive travels with the touring band Jambay. Inspired by an open-mic night in India where musicians communicated purely through improvisation, Butler began hosting similar events in San Francisco, refining the concept of conducted improvisation. The group's debut performance occurred on New Year's Eve 1999. Everyone Orchestra is known for its constantly revolving roster of musicians and audience participation, creating unique music at every appearance. Notable performances include appearances at major summer music festivals and benefit events raising funds for non-profit organizations. The group has featured members from bands such as The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Dave Matthews Band. Their first album, Mission Rock Cafe - S.F., CA, was released in 2009.
