Evan Cai, known professionally as Evan Yo, was born on 12 November 1986 in Taiwan and began his musical journey as a violin major at National Taiwan Normal University. Signing with Sony Music Taiwan at age 14, he released his debut studio album 19 on 6 October 2006, which introduced tracks such as "Can You Hear Me" and "I Can". The following year, he followed up with æå°è¡æ»ä½ on 11 July 2008, featuring singles "æåä¾äº" and "Stay With Me", and in 2009 released å¯å¯ï¼å¥½äº on 9 October, which included the popular "ç°¡å®" and "ç±æ°£ç". After a brief stint with Universal Music in 2012, he returned to Sony with åæç叿姿¯ on 18 December 2015, showcasing songs like "ææ³è¦èªª" and "ææ¯å°ç". In 2019 he released è®å¿è¨ on 23 August, containing the chartâsuccessful "æå¯ä»¥". Evan Yoâs work earned a nomination for Best New Artist at the 18th Golden Melody Awards in 2007, and his tracks have appeared in television soundtracks such as the ending theme for the drama å¥å°æåå¿. He released "ä½ é è¿æç身é" in 2024 and "Easier Than Saying It" in 2025, continuing his presence in the Mandopop scene.
