Eva Avila

Eva Gougeon‑Avila, born 25 February 1987 in Gatineau, Quebec, is a Canadian singer, songwriter and actress. After winning Canadian Idol in 2006, she signed with Sony BMG Canada and released the single "Meant to Fly" in October, which reached number one on the Canadian singles chart and was certified double platinum. Her debut album Somewhere Else followed on 14 November 2006, debuting at number six on the Canadian albums chart. In 2007 she issued the EP I Owe It All to You and the single "Fallin’ for You", while touring Beyoncé’s I Am… World Tour. Her second album, Give Me the Music, was released on 28 October 2008, peaking at number 63. In 2015 she released her third album Never Get Enough, and in 2018 she joined the Pink Floyd tribute band Brit Floyd, retiring in 2025.
