Etron Fou Leloublan

Etron Fou Leloublan were a French avant‑rock group formed in 1973 by actor‑saxophonist Chris Chanet, bassist Ferdinand Richard, and drummer Guigou Chenevier. They released the studio album Batelages in 1977. With saxophonist Francis Grand, they issued Les Trois Fous Perdégagnent (1978) and played the 1978 Rock in Opposition festival in London and the 1979 Milan event. A US tour produced the live album En Public aux États‑Unis d’Amérique (1979). In 1982, Fred Frith produced Les Poumons Gonflés, followed by Les Sillons de la Terre (1984) and Face Aux Éléments Déchaînés (1985). The group disbanded in 1986; compilations 43 Songs (1991) and the Prague live recording Etron Fou Leloublan à Prague (2010) were released.
