Etnica

Etnica were formed in Milan, Italy, by Carlo Paterno, Max Lanfranconi, Maurizio Begotti, and Andrea Rizzo. Their combined backgrounds in classical, production, and dance organising produced a Goa trance sound. The group’s first release, The EP (Brainstorm, 1994), introduced them to the scene. They followed with the 1995 album The Juggeling Alchemists Under The Black Light (High Society) and the 1996 breakthrough Alien Protein (Blue Room). After relocating to Ibiza in 1998, the trio released Equator (1999), Nitrox (2001), Chrome (2002), Sharp (2004), and the remix collection Totemism – Etnica Remixed 1996‑2006 (2007). Throughout the 2000s, Etnica performed worldwide, maintaining a presence in the psychedelic trance community.
