E-Smoove

Eric Miller, born in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America, emerged as the American DJ and producer known as E-Smoove. Associated with the Chicago house scene, Miller developed his career through collaborations with figures such as Steve “Silk” Hurley and Maurice Joshua. His breakthrough came with the 1998 single “Deja Vu”, which reached number 16 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart, establishing him as a prominent presence in house music. This success was followed by releases including “I Hear Music” (2000) and the chart-topping 2002 single “Insatiable”, which reached Number 1 on the U.S. dance charts and featured vocals by his wife Latanza Waters. In 2011, the single “Beautiful” marked a later highlight in his solo output. Alongside his work as E-Smoove, Miller also recorded under the alias Praise Cats, achieving a UK Singles Chart peak of number 24 in 2005 with a remix of “Shined on Me”. By 2013, he had produced more than 400 remixes, reinforcing his long-standing influence within the house music community.
