Ernst Horn

Ernst Horn, born in 1949 in Munich, Germany, is a German composer and musician. He studied conducting, piano, and drums at music academies in Munich, Freiburg im Breisgau, and Hamburg. Horn worked as a Kapellmeister at state theaters and as a theater pianist and composer. In 1985, he left his conducting career to focus on electronic music composition. That same year, he co-founded Deine Lakaien with Alexander Veljanov. Horn's solo debut, "Einzelhaft", won the Reader Tape Contest of Keyboard Magazine in 1988. His notable albums include The Skies Over Baghdad (1991) and Johnny Bumm's Wake (1998). He has also composed for theater productions and radio plays, including Greed Freedom.
