Emma Daumas

Born in Avignon on November 23, 1983, Emma Daumas has enjoyed a roller-coaster career in the world of French chanson. After losing out on the TV talent show Star Academy, which nevertheless revealed her talent in 2002, the singer, who had spent her youth at Graine de stars, persevered with the single "Au jour le jour" and the album Le Saut de l'Ange (2003), which brought her her greatest success with the track "Tu seras". Catalogued in a rock style akin to Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morrissette, the NRJ Music Award-winner released her 2006 album Effets Secondaires , then veered towards poetic song on its successor Le Chemin de la Maison (2006). Without regaining the same degree of notoriety, she turned to folk, children's songs (the album Les Larmes de Crocodiles et Autres Fables, 2010) and bossa nova during a trip to Brazil. She returns in 2016 with the six-title EP Vivante and the autobiographical novel Supernova.
