Emilie Autumn is an American musician, poet, songwriter, singer, and author. She began composing music at a young age and released her album Enchant in 2003, which helped establish her presence in alternative and gothic music circles. Autumn signed with Trisol Music Group in 2005, gaining popularity in Germany and Austria. Notable releases include Opheliac (2006) and Laced/Unlaced (2007), both of which expanded her stylistic blend of classical instrumentation and modern electronic elements, often featuring electric violin and theatrical production. Aside from music, she also ventured into literature with her debut novel The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls (2009).
