Emi Takei, born on December 25, 1993, is a Japanese actress and fashion model. She gained national attention in 2006 after winning the Model Division Award and the Multimedia Award at the 11th All-Japan National Beauty Contest hosted by Oscar Promotion. That same year, she debuted as a model in Seventeen magazine and became a regular exclusive model from early 2007. Takei made her acting debut in the 2008 film The Cherry Orchard. After moving to Tokyo, she pursued acting more seriously while continuing modeling. In 2011, she signed an exclusive contract with Gucci, becoming the first Japanese talent to do so. She graduated from high school in 2012 and subsequently left Seventeen after appearing on the cover 16 times. Over the years, Takei became one of Japan's most in-demand commercial personalities, topping the 2013 Talent Commercial Ranking. She transitioned into mature fashion modeling with VERY magazine in 2021 and became its cover model starting with the April 2024 issue. In addition to her acting and modeling achievements, she also released a single titled "Koisurukimochi"(2011), showcasing her versatility across entertainment fields.
