A French and Danish soprano, Elsa Dreisig was born in Paris on May 29, 1991. Daughter of singer Inge Dreisig and Gilles Amade, she began singing with the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, then the Opéra de Lyon, before studying in Paris: at the local conservatory in the 12th arrondissement, then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. She then spent a year at the Hochschule in Leipzig. It was in the same city that she made her stage debut, in Lortzing's Der Wildschütz and Hasse's Sémiramide, before embarking on an international career: in Paris in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (2015), alongside Natalie Dessay and Laurent Naouri, and at the Berlin Opera Studio in Mozart's The Magic Flute, conducted by Daniel Barenboim. Elsa Dreisig has won several prizes in competitions, notably in Clermont-Ferrand and Oslo (2015), a Victoire de la musique classique in the "Révélation artiste lyrique" category and the Prix Operalia (2016). She has since performed major roles in Berlin(La Traviata), Paris(Don Giovanni), Salzburg(Cosi fan tutte) and Geneva(Anna Bolena). In 2018, she released her first recital, Miroir(s), followed by the lieder albums Morgen (2020) and Mozart x 3 (2022), published by Erato. In 2024, the soprano takes part in the recording of Gluck's opera Orfeo ed Euridice, conducted by Jakub Józef OrliÅski and conducted by Stefan Plewniak. In 2026, the Invocation recital features arias by DvoÅák, Puccini, Verdi, Bellini, Rossini, JanáÄek, Gounod, Bizet, Uccelli and Wagner, with conductor Massimo Zanetti and Genoa's Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice.
