Born on May 3rd, 1990 in Rome, Italy, mononymous singer Elodie Di Patrizi is a former X Factor Italy competitor who subsequently rose to fame with the release of Un'altra vita in 2016 which reached number two in the Italian album charts, comfortably outperforming the lead single of the same name which had reached number 33 in the singles listing. The artist began her working career as a model prior to entering season three of Italy's X Factor franchise, after which she left modelling in order to concentrate on her singing career. She was eliminated from X Factor Italy quite early on in the proceedings, but undeterred she entered another Italian reality talent show Amici di Maria de Filippi in 2015 where she reached the final, eventually placing second and subsequently bagging a deal with Universal. The resulting publicity helped launch her singing career and she soon enjoyed two top album successes and a string of hit singles. In 2019, Elodie collaborated with rapper Marracash on the double-platinum-certified single “Margarita”. She returned in 2020 with the sonically varied This Is Elodie, which saw her explore many genres including R&B and reggae and reached number six in the national albums chart. In 2021, she announced that she would be co-hosting the Sanremo Music Festival – having entered the competition twice previously – and also revealed that she would be participating in reality show Celebrity Hunted Italia. Preceeded by the single of the same name, her fourth album OK, respira (2023) affirmed the singer's musical change, combining R&B, urban sounds and electronic music. Ranked number 4 in Italian charts, it became the first album by a female Italian singer to be certified platinum. After the release of the EP Red Light followed the fifth album Mi ami mi odi (2025, number 3), featuring collaborations with Tiziano Ferron on "Feeling" (number 9), and Lorenzza on "In grado".
