Â¥ellow Bucks (born Augustâ¯5â¯1996 in Nagoya, Takayama, Japan) emerged as a rap artist after starting his career in a group at sixteen, later adopting the name Â¥ellow Bucks and moving to the United States at nineteen. He first attracted attention with the single "Grow Up" (2019â04â11), followed by the EP To The Top (2019â04â24) and the single "Ninja" (2019â09â25). In October 2019, he released the single "Check Me Out" and the album To The Top, which consolidated his presence in the Japanese rap scene. His second album, Excuse Me (2019â10â31), expanded his audience through collaborations with artists such as Daiki Blunt. In 2020 he issued the single "GAMBLE/Need A Dr" (2020â10â09) and the album Jungle (2020â08â21), both receiving moderate chart placement. The 2022 deluxe release Ride 4 Life (2022â07â07) included the single "I'm Back" (2022â01â10), marking a stylistic evolution toward more melodic rap. Subsequent releases Survive (2023â06â07) and the upcoming Jungle 2 (2024â09â13) demonstrated continued output, with the single "Higher [Remix]" (2023â10â20) achieving notable streaming milestones. The 4th full album, Wataru, was released on January 21, 2026.
