Elia Cmiral

Elia David Cmíral, born on October 1, 1950, in Czechoslovakia, is a prolific composer known for his dynamic contributions to film scoring and contemporary classical music. Embarking on his musical journey with an initial focus on rock and electronic music, Elia Cmíral's genre-bending talents soon expanded into the realms of orchestral and chamber music, earning him international acclaim. After relocating to the United States, his distinctive style—a fusion of traditional orchestral techniques with electronic elements—catapulted him into the spotlight. Among his most celebrated works are the scores for the films Ronin (1998), Stigmata (1999), Bones (2001), Pulse (2006) and Piranha 3DD (2012), which showcase his ability to enhance cinematic narratives with his auditory creations. Elia Cmíral's contribution to music extends beyond film scores, encompassing a diverse range of genres including soundtracks for video games like The Last Express (1997) and Spec Ops: The Line (2012).
