Eleftheria Arvanitaki, born ÎÎ»ÎµÏ Î¸ÎµÏία ÎÏβανιÏάκη on October 17, 1957, in Icaria, Greece, is a Greek folk singer. She began her career in the early 1980s with the ÎÏιÏθοδÏομική ÎομÏανία (Retrograde Company), and her first discographic credit was on Vangélis Germanós' album Ta barákia in 1981. Arvanitaki released her debut solo album, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, in 1984, followed by notable works such as Tanirama (1989), Meno ektos (1991), and Ta kormia kai ta maheria (1994). Her album Ekpompi (2001) featured collaborations with Ara Dinkjian. Arvanitaki performed at significant events, including the Pirineos Sur festival in 1999 and the closing ceremony of the Athens Olympics in 2004. Her later albums include Stis Akres Ap' Ta Matia Sou (2006) and Dinata 1986-2007 (2007), which included the single "Min Orkizesai" ("Come Monna Lisa").
