El Drogas

Enrique Villarreal Armendáriz, known professionally as El Drogas, was born on August 31, 1959, in Pamplona, Navarra, Spain. He began his musical career at 18, playing bass in punk and rock bands. In April 1982, Villarreal founded Barricada with Boni Hernández, Mikel Astrain, and Sergio Osés. Their debut album, Noche de Rock&Roll, was released in 1983 by Soñua Records. Over three decades, Barricada released over 20 albums, selling more than a million copies. Villarreal's role in the band led to collaborations with other artists. In December 2011, he left Barricada and formed El Drogas, releasing several albums including Demasiado tonto en la corteza (2013) and Sólo quiero brujas en esta noche sin compañía (2019).
