Édouard Ferlet, born 21 January 1971 in Paris, is a French jazz pianist who began playing at seven and studied classical piano at the École normale de musique de Paris before moving to the Berklee College of Music, where he earned a degree in Jazz Composition and the Berklee Jazz Performance Award in 1992. After establishing a trio with bassist Jean‑Philippe Viret, Ferlet released Par Tous les Temps in 2004, earning a Coup de cœur from the Académie Charles‑Cros, followed by L'Echarpe d'Iris (2007) and Think Bach (2012), the latter receiving critical acclaim on France Musique and Jazz News Magazine. He founded Mélisse Productions in 2006, released Pianoïd (2021) and Pianoïd² (2023), and continued touring internationally with Julia Migenes’ Alter Ego before being knighted in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2010.
