Eamon was born on September 19, 1983 in Staten Island, New York City. His real name is Eamon Jonathan Doyle. He is an American singer and songwriter and is considered a prominent figure in R&B and hip-hop soul of the early 2000s. Eamon made his first musical appearance in 2003. His international breakthrough came in 2004 with the single "Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back)", which attracted worldwide attention. The song reached number 1 in the singles charts in the UK, Australia and several European countries and caused widespread media debate due to its explicit lyrics. In 2004, the debut album I Don't Want You Back was released, reaching number 4 on the Billboard 200 in the USA and also charting internationally. Musically, Eamon combines classic R&B with soul elements and autobiographical lyrics. The second studio album Love & Pain followed in 2006, which achieved significantly less commercial success and no comparable chart positions.
