Dynamix II

Dynamix II, founded in 1985 by David Noller of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, emerged as a pioneering American DJ act and record label specializing in electro, Florida breaks, and Miami bass. Noller began spinning in skating rinks and night clubs before earning a degree from Full Sail School for the Recording Arts; he signed with Bass Station Records in 1986 and released the single "Just Give The DJ A Break" / "Straight from the Jungle", which sold over 600,000 copies, achieved gold status, and peaked at number  50 on the UK Singles Chart in 1987. The track was among the first Miami‑bass releases to feature a Roland TR 808 bass drum, cementing the group’s influence in the genre. After a brief partnership with Lon Alonzo and later Claudio Barrella, Noller continued solo under the Dynamix II name, issuing Dynamix II: The Album in 1990 and You Hear It! You Fear It! in 1992. Subsequent releases included Machine Language (1992), Bass Planet (1993), Color Beats (1994), and Electro Megamix (1998), the latter reissued by Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label. Throughout the 1990s, the act signed to Joey Boy Records and Monotone USA, producing singles such as "We Are Your Future" and "Ignition Remix". In 2014 Scott Weiser departed to pursue other projects, and Todd Walker joined in 2019, collaborating on "Got That Booty" for Ravesta Records. Dynamix II’s catalog remains a reference point for early Miami‑bass and electro production.
