Dua Saleh, born in Kassala, Sudan, is a singer and actor based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a child refugee from the Second Sudanese Civil War, Dua Saleh moved to the United States and settled in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Dua Saleh began writing poetry at age four and performed at open mics during high school. While studying sociology and gender studies at Augsburg University, Due Saleh released their first single "First Take" in 2017 under the stage name Dua. In 2019, Due Saleh released their debut EP Nūr, followed by two additional EPs: Rosetta (2020) and Crossover (2021). Dua Saleh's music, characterized as rap, pop, and R&B, has been noted for its genre-defying qualities. After the release of their debut album I Should Call Them in 2024, Dua Saleh returned with Of Earth & Wires in 2026.
