Dr. Yaro

Dr. Yaro, whose real name is Mohamed Ertan, is a French singer of Comorian origin. He grew up in the 19ᵉ arrondissement of Paris and in Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis). Passionate about music since childhood, he began his career under the pseudonym Yaro before adopting the stage name Dr. Yaro. In 2018, he and his cousin formed the duo Dr. Yaro & La Folie, blending pop, African and rap influences. Their musical style has led to them being spotted by artists such as Gims, Naza, Gradur and KeBlack. Their innovative use of artificial intelligence to create unique versions of their tracks, imitating the voices of great artists, is a testament to their willingness to push the boundaries of musical creativity, and gives them a high profile on social networks. In 2024, Dr. Yaro embarks on a solo career, releasing the single "Minimum ça", which reaches the singles chart. In January 2025, he followed this up with"Simba", which reached number 33 in the Belgian Ultratop chart and number 8 in the French Outre-Mer Songs chart. Dr. Yaro followed this up with other chart-topping tracks such as "Simba" and "Que pasa?" in 2025, then "Confirmé" in 2026 (#26 in the Outre-Mer Songs chart). 2026 also sees the release of the EP C'Est Bon? (Vol. 1), ranked No. 101 on the SNEP chart in France.
