Sven Holger Greiner, known professionally as DJ Shog, was born on November 8, 1976, in Hamburg, Germany. He started his career as a DJ and producer in the early 1990s, performing at school and private parties before becoming a resident DJ in several northern German clubs. His breakthrough came with the release of his compilation series Technics DJ Set, which featured mixes by himself and guest DJs. DJ Shog's first single "This Is My Sound" was released in 2001, reaching Number 54 on the German charts and Number 40 on the UK singles chart. His subsequent single "The 2nd Dimension" also charted, peaking at Number 62 in Germany. In 2005, he co-founded the label 7th Sense Records with Torsten Stenzel, under which they produced as Mandala Bros. His debut solo album My Sound was released in early 2006 and charted for four weeks in Germany. DJ Shog was active in the schlager genre as a producer, remixer, and manager, working with artists such as Kerstin Ott, Michelle, Wolfgang Petry, and DJ Pierre. He passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 46.
