Real name Cláudio Rodrigues, DJ Malvado is an Angolan and Portuguese DJ and producer born in Luanda, Angola, in 1975. Active on the island since the early 1990s, he made a name for himself in 2002 with the album 10 Anos de Noite, and became a household name ten years later with his fifth album From Africa to the World (2012), which sold fifteen thousand copies in its first three days. After signing the multi-collaboration albums O DJ Que Esta Ma Noda (2016) and After 22 (2016), he gained international recognition with the three-part series DJ Malvado & Friends: Angola House Music, released between 2022 and 2024. A specialist in afro house, kizomba and semba, he also produced the Beats Do Baù and Kizombadas series, before scoring a hit with "Mussulo", in collaboration with DJ Aka-m, ranked #5 in the Top 25 Portugal Songs.
