DJ FKU (real name Valentin Valkiainen) is a Finnish producer who emerged in 2023 with a string of DIY Brazilian-funk/phonk hybrids, issuing early singles like “Brazilian Phonk” and “Brazilian Phonk 3” and the four-track Ninguém Vai Me Derrotar – EP, which introduced his template of clipped “montagem” vocals over blown-out 808s and saw quick spin-offs in sped-up and slowed variants. In parallel he dabbled in collabs and edits (“Tuca Donka”), building a profile through playlists and creator communities before pivoting in mid-2025 to a more focused release strategy around short, DJ-friendly EPs. The breakthrough arrived on August 21, 2025 with Montagem Direção – EP, co-credited with Brazilian peers farofinat beats and Dj Samir, led by the single “MONTAGEM DIREÇÃO” and companion versions (“Slowed,” “Super Slowed,” “Ultra Slowed”) that pushed the track beyond phonk into baile-club rotation. Follow-ups kept momentum: the five-track Montagem Direção bundle circulated on streaming and short-video platforms while DJ FKU expanded his “montagem” palette with ATLXS on the Tribal Trap release Montagem Rebola – EP in October 2025, broadening from raw, bass-heavy edits toward brighter synth hooks and tighter drops.
