Die Zipfelbuben

Die Zipfelbuben, a German schlager band, were formed in 2005 in Berlin by Timo Schulz, Dirk Ostermann, and Florian Flesch. They gained national recognition in early 2006 with their debut single "Kedeng, Kedeng!", a cover of Guus Meeuwis' hit "Per Spoor (Kedeng Kedeng)". Their performance on ARD's Feste der Volksmusik and appearance on RTL II's Big Brother propelled them into the national spotlight. The band followed up with another cover, "Der Teufel und der junge Mann", originally by Paola, released in July 2006. Their debut album, Volkspop, was released in June 2007. In 2009, their single "Hier im Dschungel" became the official anthem for the fourth season of Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!. The band was nominated for an Echo Pop Award in 2010. Their subsequent albums included Party Party Party (2009), Jetzt wird es heiss (2011), and Tanz Tanz Tanz (2018). Die Zipfelbuben were awarded the Ballermann-Award for Comeback in 2018 and again in 2022 for Best Party Act Group. Their single "Olivia", released with DJ Cashi, reached number 2 on the German charts in August 2022 and achieved gold status in Germany and Switzerland, as well as platinum status in Austria. The band announced their disbandment in February 2024.
