Dexcore

DEXCORE is a Japanese metalcore band formed on October 28, 2016, currently consisting of Yumeto (guitar), Kagami (vocals), and TO-RU (bass), who joined in January 2023. The band is known for its distinctive blend of heavy breakdown-driven metalcore with contrasting pop-inspired melodies and refined vocal lines—a signature sound they call “DEXCORE sound.” Kagami’s ability to shift from intense screams and growls to sweet, delicate singing adds a unique dynamic to their music. Their discography includes five singles, digital releases, the first mini-album -18- (2021), and their full-length debut METEMPSYCHOSIS (2020), released in 2021, which helped establish their place in Japan’s modern metalcore scene. In 2025, DEXCORE expanded their sound further with the release of their second full album, WE WERE HERE.
