Denys Proshayev, a Ukrainian pianist born in 1978 in Brest, began his musical journey at age nine. He received early training from Marina Krajsman and Irina Lipatova before enrolling at the Musical Gymnasium in Kiev in 1992. In 1998, he moved to Germany to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover under Vladimir Krajnev. Proshayev expanded his skills by beginning a conducting program in 2001 with Eiji Åue and Martin BrauÃ. His career as a pianist included performances with notable orchestras such as the Münchner Philharmoniker, the Danish National Orchestra, and the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln. He has also performed at prestigious venues including the Berlin Philharmonic Hall and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Notable releases incclude Piano Concerto, 5 Aphorisms & Gogol Suite (2015) and Baroque Suites (2019). His achievements include winning the Ettlingen Piano Competition and the International Clara Haskil Piano Competition in Vevey.
