Dennis Jernigan, born in 1959 in Oklahoma City, is an American singerâsongwriter known for his work in contemporary Christian music. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University and began his recording career in 1988 with See the King and Lift Up the Standard. Over the years, Jernigan released many albums, such as Break My Heart, O God (1991), I Belong to Jesus Volumesâ¯I & II (1993), and Like Christmas All Year âRound (1994). He has collaborated with artists including Natalie Grant, Twila Paris, Ron Kenoly, and Rebecca St. James. In 2018, Jernigan was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. His life and ministry are featured in the 2014 documentary Sing Over Me, directed by Jacob Kindberg.
