Dennison de Lima Gomes, better known as Dennis DJ, is a Brazilian disc jockey born in Duque de Caxias, near Rio de Janeiro, on July 30, 1980. A producer and DJ of Carioca funk, rap and EDM, he began playing radio at the age of 15 and performed on stage with several MCs. He scored his first hit in 2001 with the group Bonde de Tigrao for the track "Cerol Na Mao", and went on to set up a production company encompassing radio programs and recordings under the name Som do Gaierao. In the field of Carioca funk, he produced dozens of tracks for MCs including MC Segrinho Lacraia and MC Naldinhos. After other collaborations, notably in rap, he recorded his debut album Baile dos Dennis Ao Vivo, released in 2015, followed by Na Farra the following year. The track "Malandramente" garnered a million views in ten days on YouTube. He continues to write and produce hits for Xand Aviao and Lucas Lucco, MC Kevinho and Bruno Martini. The following year, he released the album Professor da Malandragem, followed in 2018 by Carnaval Embrazado, consolidating his place on the Brazilian music scene. In 2023, he reached the top of the charts with "Tá OK", in collaboration with MC Kevin o Chris, a track that was a resounding success, not least thanks to a remix with Colombian artists Maluma and Karol G. The album FUNKBOX 01, released in 2025, includes contributions from Bibi Babydoll, DJ LK da Escócia, MC Dricka, MC Rodrigo do CN and many others. The same year, he collaborated with pop singer Luísa Sonza on the track "Motinha 2.0 (Mete Marcha)".
