Delfins, a Portuguese pop rock band formed in 1981 from Cascais, initially included João Carlos on bass and Fernando Cunha on guitar, with Miguel Ãngelo joining as lead vocalist in 1982. Their first concert took place at Praia do Guincho in 1983, followed by their debut single release in 1984 under Fundação Atlântica. The band's name was officially set to Delfins during this period. In 1987, they released their debut album Libertação. They signed with Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) and released Desalinhados in 1990. Their concept album Ser Maior â Uma História Natural was released in 1993. Delfins achieved notable success with their compilation album O Caminho Da Felicidade in 1995, which received sixfold platinum certification. Their final concert took place on New Year's Eve 2009 in Cascais, marking their disbandment in 2010. The band reunited for a concert in 2019 and for their 40th anniversary in 2024.
