Deathgaze

Deathgaze (Japanese: デスゲイズ) was formed in 2003 in Nagoya, Japan by members Hazuki, Ai, Naoki, and Kanna, with Ai later becoming the principal vocalist, guitarist, and lyricist. The group debuted with the EP "294036224052" in February 2004, followed by singles such as "CHAOS" and "DOWNER" that established their visual kei metal identity. In July 2006, Genocide and Mass Murder marked their first full‑length release, and the band continued to output albums: Awake –Evoke the Urge– (2008), The Continuation (2009), Bliss Out (2010), Creature (2012), and Enigma (2014). Notable singles include "Blood" (2009) and "Sorrow" (2010). Deathgaze toured extensively, collaborating with Girugamesh and later performing across Europe in 2013 to celebrate their decade of activity. The band entered an indefinite hiatus in October 2014, with members pursuing solo projects such as Ai’s solo act and DARRELL. In August 2023, the group reunited for a live studio performance of "Blood", which was later released on Naoki’s YouTube channel, and organized concerts in Nagoya to commemorate their twentieth anniversary.
