Born in Brixton near London on June 5, 1998, David Orobosa Omoregie aka Santan Dave or simply Dave, is a British rapper. Revealed in 2016 by the Six Paths EP and Drake's remix of his track "Wanna Know", he has previously released several mixtapes. The following year, the Game Over EP reached #13 in the UK and won a MOBO Award. In 2018, Dave and Fredo teamed up for the track "Funky Friday", which reached number one in the UK. Dave then becomes a high-profile rapper, guesting on Headie One's track "18Hunna". In 2019, his album Psychodrama topped the charts, driven by the duet "Disaster" with J Hus, which reached No. 8, followed by "Streatham" (No. 9), named after the neighborhood where he was born, then "Location" (No. 11), with Burna Boy. The same year, he takes part in the album inspired by the Top Boy series, with the track "Professor X" (no. 24). Back in 2021 with the album We're All Alone in This Together, which immediately reached No. 1 in the UK, Dave welcomes Wizkid, Boj, Snoh Aalegra, James Blake and Stormzy on the first single "Clash " (No. 2), while "Verdansk" reaches No. 4. The following year saw his first solo number one with the track "Starlight", and in 2023 Dave collaborated with Central Cee on the Split Decision EP, all four tracks of which charted, including the #1 "Sprinter". After collaborating with French rapper Tiakola on "Meridian" and "Special", Dave works on his third album The Boy Who Played the Harp (2025), which reaches No. 1 with all its tracks charting and collaborations with James Blake, Kano, Tems, Jim Legxacy and Nicole Blakk.
