Daran

Daran was born in Turin but is not Italian; few details are known of his personal life. He was born on April 4, 1959. A series of moves made his guitar and music his best friends. After the Daran et les Chaises adventure, he was reborn in the Déménagé mailbox in 1997. Augustin et Anita in 2000 was not a success, and Daran had his doubts. His duet with Florent Pagny on "L'eau" enabled him to launch a career as a composer, and he went on to sign for Florent Pagny, Johnny Hallyday and Maurane. Le Petit Peuple du Bitume, released in 2007, shows a Daran who is musically extremely accomplished, dark and relevant - all he needs is massive public recognition. 2009 saw the release of the Couvert de Poussière compilation. Now based in Canada, Daran released L'Homme Dont les Brasont des Branches in February 2012. The album was released in Europe in May 2013, with a tour to follow. The stripped-down Le Monde Perdu, with Daran alone in a guitar-vocal exercise, was released in March 2015 (October 2014 in Quebec).
