Danzo

Danzo (born Danilo Batista de Souza Garcia) is a Brazilian rapper from Jardim Nakamura in São Paulo’s Zona Sul who first built momentum through the city’s rap-battle circuit before moving into official releases at the end of the 2010s, starting with the breakout single “Nike Bolha” (2019). He consolidated that early buzz with the project Trap de Quebra (2021) and expanded it with the single “Favelado Enriquecendo” (2021), released through Labbel Records (Boogie Naipe’s trap imprint) and tied to a video shot in the Jardim Letícia/Jardim Nakamura area that framed his writing around everyday life in the South Zone. In 2022 he followed with Trap de Quebra (Deluxe), keeping the same street-level lens while widening his collaborator circle across São Paulo’s new-wave trap lane. His next major statement arrived with O Cenário Certo para o Teatro Perfeito (2023), a mixtape-like album that centered his neighborhood as both concept and setting and brought in a roster of guests including Veigh, Yunk Vino, MC Luanna, Menor MC, and Niink; the era’s signature track was “Desfile na Favela,” credited as a multi-artist cut with Veigh, Bvga Beatz, and Toledo. Danzo carried the run into A Peça Final (2024), then kept issuing singles into 2025, culminating in the release of his third album DOISMILEVINTEHOJE in early 2026.
