DannyLux

Daniel Balderrama Espinoza, known as DannyLux, was born on March 12, 2004, in Palm Springs, California, and raised in Desert Hot Springs. He began playing guitar as a child and joined his church choir, eventually turning to social media during the pandemic to post original songs. His breakout came in 2020 through his collaboration with Eslabón Armado on “Jugaste y Sufrí,” which reached number 3 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. In 2021, he released his debut album Las Dos Caras del Amor and the EP Love </3, featuring songs like “Mi Otra Mitad.” His 2022 album Perdido en Ti topped Apple Music’s Latin charts, followed by the EP Limerencia, which included the hit “Junto a Ti.” He opened for Coldplay in Mexico that same year and collaborated with Cuco on “Decir Adios.” DannyLux released his studio album DLUX in 2023, featuring Eslabón Armado, Yami Safdie, Gabito Ballesteros, and others. The deluxe version EVOLUXION arrived in early 2024 with “Ciudad del Sol,” which earned a Latin Grammy nomination. He continued releasing collaborations with Becky G, Strangehuman, and Jasiel Núñez. In 2025, he dropped his follow-up album LEYENDA, blending alternative sierreño, indie pop, and urbano, further establishing his sound.
