Daniela Darcourt

Daniela Alejandra Darcourt Escurra, born 20 April 1996 in Lima, Peru, emerged as a singer and dancer within a musically engaged family. She entered the public eye at age twelve when she won the Sábados Tropicales singing contest, later joining the choir of Marita Cabanillas and performing in televised events. Her professional debut followed in 2016 with the salsa ensemble Son Tentación, where she served as a lead vocalist for two years before launching a solo career in 2018. The single "Probablemente" marked her first solo release, and she followed with "Cheveraneando" and "Señor Mentira" in early 2019, the latter reaching number 13 on Billboard's Tropical Songs chart. In 2019 she issued her debut album Esa soy yo, produced by Master Chris, and later that year released the single "Adiós amor". Her collaboration with Puerto Rican salsa group N’Klabe on "Probabilidad de amor" earned a Heat Latin Music Award nomination in 2020 and entered the Billboard Tropical Airplay top five. The 2022 album Empezando otra vez featured collaborations with Rey Ruiz and Tito Nieves and was supported by a worldwide tour. Daniela Alejandra Darcourt Escurra was named among Peru’s 50 most powerful women by Forbes in 2024, cementing her status as a contemporary salsa figure. She continued with Renacer in 2024, the EP SOY in 2025, and in 2026 opened a new stretch with “Quién,” which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
