Daniel Knox

Daniel Knox, born September 22 1980, in Springfield, Illinois, is an American singer‑songwriter and composer who taught himself piano after leaving Columbia College Chicago. In 2007, he performed an original organ piece at Chicago’s Music Box Theatre during a David Lynch screening, which led him to a Barbican appearance with Rufus Wainwright and the Handsome Family. His debut album Disaster arrived that year, followed by Evryman for Himself (2011), the self‑titled Daniel Knox (2015), and Chasescene (2018) featuring Jarvis Cocker on "Capitol" and backing from Nina Nastasia and Brett Sparks. He released the mini‑album I Had a Wonderful Time (2019), the soundtrack Half Heart: Songs from Twin Peaks (2020), and Won’t You Take Me with You (2021).
