Dandi Wind

Dandi Wind, a Canadian musical group formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2003, consisted of Dandilion Wind Opaine and Szam Findlay. The duo met in high school and formed the band after moving to Montreal by 2005. Their initial releases included the EP Nofuncity (2006) and the album Concrete Igloo (2007). Dandi Wind's sound was influenced by avant-garde and electronic music artists of the 1980s, including Nina Hagen and Einstürzende Neubauten. The band toured extensively, performing in England in October 2004, Europe in January 2005, and China in 2008. Notable releases include the single "Apotemnophilia / Adolescent" (2007) and the album A Smile Before Death (2007). Dandi Wind disbanded in 2009 as Opaine and Findlay formed the disco band Fan Death with Marta Jaciubek-McKeever.
