Dafna Dekel, born ××¤× × ××§× on May 7, 1966 in Ashdod, Israel, is a singer known for her work in pop music. She was discovered while serving in the Lehakat HaNahal entertainment troupe of the Israel Defense Forces from 1985-1986. Dekel released her debut self-titled album Dafna Dekel in 1989. That year, she performed "Mah koreh li?" ("What's Happening to Me?") at the children's holiday show Festigal. Dekel represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with "Ze rak sport" ("It's Just Sports"), securing 85 points and reaching sixth place. She released her second album in 1994 and hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 held in Jerusalem alongside Yigal Ravid and Sigal Shachmon.
