Cursive

Cursive, an indie rock band from Omaha, Nebraska, was formed in 1995 by Tim Kasher, Matt Maginn, Steve Pedersen, and Clint Schnase. The group emerged from the ashes of Slowdown Virginia, with their first release being the EP The Disruption in 1996. Cursive's debut album, Such Blinding Stars for Starving Eyes, was released in 1997. After disbanding in 1998, the group reformed in 1999 and released their critically acclaimed concept album Domestica. In 2003, they released The Ugly Organ, which received widespread critical acclaim and sold over 170,000 copies by 2014. Following a hiatus in the mid-2000s, Cursive returned with the album Happy Hollow (2006). Notable singles include "Dorothy at Forty" (2006) and "Discovering America" (2010).
