Irish power trio Crow Black Chicken was formed in 2009 by musicians from Cork and Clommel. Comprising Christy O'Hanlon (vocals, guitar), Stephen McGrath (bass) and Gev Barrett (drums), the band play heavy blues rock with hard rock and psychedelic influences, and southern rock and stoner overtones. After a self-released debut album entitled Electric Soup (2012), the follow-up Rumble Shake (2014) reached #12 in Ireland, before the release of two live recordings, Deep South (2015) and South Roman Street (2018). With a strong festival presence, the trio also tours across Europe, sharing the bill with ZZ Top in Cork in 2016. After the release of a third studio album in 2016, Pariah Brothers, Crow Black Chicken returns in 2025 with Ghost Dance.
