Cris Cosmo

Christian Gingerich, known professionally as Cris Cosmo, was born on February 17, 1978, in Bretten, Germany, and is a German musician. As a teenager, he began his musical journey with his band NTS and as a street musician. In Chile, he adopted the stage name Cris Cosmo. His early success included an Echo nomination in 2002 for the single "Ich und Du" by his band NTS, which sold fifty thousand units. After developing his unique style at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim and Berlin, he released his debut album Sandkorn in 2008. His subsequent albums include Musik für die Bewegung (2009), Mund zu Mund (2012), Alles blau (2015), and Jaguar (2019). In September 2012, Cosmo participated in the Bundesvision Song Contest for Hessen with "Herzschlag", finishing twelfth. He was nominated for the German Songwriting Award in 2017 and 2019.
