Corsu Mezu Mezu

Corsu Mezu Mezu is a project led since 2015 by leading artists and focused on Corsican music. Created on the initiative of Patrick Fiori, a singer of Corsican origin born in Marseille on September 23, 1969, the supergroup quickly expanded with the participation of Patrick Bruel, Grand Corps Malade, Enrico Macias, Francis Cabrel, Chico & the Gypsies, Maxime Le Forestier, Bénabar, Louis Bertignac, Claire Keim, Maurane, Michel Fugain, Jenifer, Anne Etchegoyen and Corsican singers and musicians such as Antoine Ciosi, Petru Guelfucci, Jean-Charles Papi and vocal groups A Filetta, Chjami Aghjalesi and Surghjenti. Released in September 2015, the first volume Corsu Mezu Mezu features sixteen covers of traditional local music, including the anthemic "Corsica", a single released as a scout for the #1-selling album. Seven years later, the project resumed without Guelfucci, who died on October 8, 2021. The album Corsu Mezu Mezu 2, released in August 2022, features new guest vocals by Carla Bruni, Kendji Girac, Florent Pagny, Julien Clerc, Vianney, Julien Doré, Claudio Capéo, Slimane, Thomas Dutronc, Italian singer Zucchero, tenor Roberto Alagna, rapper Soprano, host Nikos Aliagas and actor Kad Merad. The 25-track album will be followed in August 2023 by a new 29-track edition, including a live version of "Corsica".
