Cornelio Vega y Su Dinastía

Cornelio Vega y Su Dinastía is a Regional Mexican family group formed in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, after veteran singer Cornelio Vega (brother of the late Sergio Vega “El Shaka”) decided to unite his musical work with his sons’ growing online momentum. The lineup centered on Cornelio Vega (vocals) alongside Cornelio Vega Jr. (lead vocals, accordion) and Valentín Vega (bass, vocals), supported by musicians including Abraham “El Grillo” and Guillermo “El Piolín.” The project took shape in 2014 when Cornelio Vega Jr. began posting norteño-style covers and originals online, and it quickly moved into official releases with the breakout “Adicto a Ti” (2015). Their popularity scaled nationally with “No Me Hubiera Enamorado” (2017) and the album El Problema (2017), which mixed romantic norteño songwriting with corrido-adjacent storytelling and included the high-profile collaboration “El Problema” featuring Adriel Favela; that same era also produced the live document Desde la Escondida (En Vivo) (2017). They kept momentum in 2018 with “Cambio de Papeles” featuring Luis Coronel and the single “Fue un Error Amarte,” then continued issuing singles such as “Esta Vez Soy Yo” (2019) while expanding their independent infrastructure. In the 2020s they broadened their catalog through studio sets like Pura Pieza de Mi Gusto (2020), later followed by ADCV (2022) and Simplemente Corridos, Vol. 1 (2022), then a new wave of releases including “Ven” (2023), El Mismo Loco (2024), and Pura Pieza De Mi Gusto, Vol. 2 (2024). In 2025 they stayed active with albums Así O Más Vega Vol. 2 and Experto, alongside singles such as “Adivina,” “De Qué Sirve,” and “Básico” (with Ramón Vega), reinforcing their mix of melodic accordion-led arrangements and pop-leaning regional hooks.
