Conor Matthews is an American singer and songwriter born on June 17, 1995 in Lemont, Illinois. He became interested in music at an early age, learning the piano and writing his first songs as a teenager. After a short stint at Belmont University in Nashville, he made a name for himself as an author and signed a publishing contract at the age of 20. Initially oriented towards country writing, he gradually evolved towards a pop and R&B style, influenced by artists such as Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars. In 2018, he began releasing his own tracks, including "Forever Right Now", "I Told You" and "Love You Drink About", which helped him gain recognition online. In 2019, he becomes the first artist signed by the Altadena label, in partnership with Warner Records. In 2020, he releases a debut EP entitled Balloons, followed by a second, Heartbreak in the Hills, both rooted in an urban pop aesthetic that is both modern and emotional, inspired by his personal experiences. In 2023 and 2024, he followed up with several singles, heralding a debut album entitled Magic, released in summer 2025.
