Collide

Collide, an American electronic music duo formed in Los Angeles in 1992, consisted of Statik and kaRIN. The group incorporated elements of trip-hop, synthpop, and Middle Eastern music into their sound. Their album, Beneath the Skin, was released in 1996, followed by a remix album, Distort, in 1998. Dissatisfied with the music industry, Collide started their own record label, Noiseplus Music, and released their second studio album, Chasing the Ghost, in 2000. Notable releases include Some Kind of Strange (2003), a remix album Vortex (2004) featuring contributions from Charlie Clouser and Rhys Fulber, and Two Headed Monster (2008). In 2017, they released Color of Nothing, followed by Mind & Matter in 2018, and Notes from the Universe (2022).
