Comprising Darryl Stylight, Den G, Black G and Monster G.Leez, Collectif People is a group of four Gabonese musicians based in Libreville. The group came to prominence in the late 2010s for its dance-inducing songs with electronic rhythms. With a number of hits, including "Bordelle" (2018) produced by RR Sxiss, "Bwiti Gang Cyper 8 (La dose)" (2018) and "Simon" (2018), Collectif People returned to the early 2020s having incorporated the musical evolutions of the African continent. Once again working alongside RR Sxiss, the quartet unveils "Est-ce qu'on va encore vivre" in 2021, a reference to the latest covid-19 pandemic, infused with the amapiano rhythms of South Africa and moungongo from Gabon. With new titles of lesser impact, including "Café misère" (2022) and "La go de l'heure", Collectif People nevertheless established themselves as one of the new faces of Gabonese pop in the early 2020s.
