Circus Maximus was an American rock band formed in 1967, originally known as the Lost Sea Dreamers. The group included Bob Bruno, Jerry Jeff Walker, David Scherstrom, Gary White, and Peter Troutner. Vanguard Records requested a name change due to the initials "LSD" being associated with drug culture. Their self-titled debut album in 1967. The band performed unique "Electric Christmas" concerts with New York Pro Musica in late December 1967 and released their second album Neverland Revisited the following year. Despite blending folk, jazz, and classical elements into psychedelic rock, differing musical interests led to their disbandment by July 1968.
