Cico P

Christopher Simms Jr., born February 6 1998 in Jacksonville, Texas, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who performs under the stage name Cico P. He began recording in his teens, releasing early singles that garnered attention on regional streaming platforms. Cico P’s breakthrough came with the single "Tampa", which went viral on TikTok in early 2021 and propelled him to the top of the US Spotify Viral 50 chart, the Number 3 spot on Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25, and the Number 41 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists list. In October 2019 he issued the debut studio album Sweet Union, followed by the EP SUA Files in April 2021, both released through the independent label DawgTies. Subsequent singles such as "Auto Pilot" (2020) and "Krash" (2021) maintained his presence on streaming charts. Cico P’s career has been marked by consistent digital releases and growing influence within Southern hip hop, though no major awards or label signings beyond DawgTies have been documented.
